Playing to Win at Bridge, a selection of entertaining and instructive problems from actual play, was originally published in 1976 and has been reprinted five times. This is a revised and up-dated edition with a number of new problems added. For each problem two hands are shown together with the bidding and the play to the first few tricks. The reader is then invited to take over and plan the play or defence before turning to the solution where all four hands are given. As one would expect from a master teacher, the emphasis is on practical problems of the sort that are frequently encountered in a game. In the handling of these common situations lies the secret of playing to win.
